Scope and Responsibilities

Installation Is a Controlled System Process

Final installed performance depends on coordinated Product selection, subfloor condition, site environment, grounding design, Conductive Adhesive, installation workmanship, seam treatment, protection, testing and documentation.

01

Project Specification

Defines the required Product, system components, performance requirements, testing and acceptance criteria.

02

Product Instructions

Define Product-specific handling, adhesive, installation, welding, cleaning and maintenance requirements.

03

Approved Installation Method

Defines how the contractor will apply Product and project requirements to actual site conditions.

Project Checklist

Pre-Installation Review

Review the selected system, site information and project responsibilities before materials are installed.

Approved Product and System

Confirm flooring, Conductive Adhesive, Copper Foil Grounding Strip, Welding Rod and optional maintenance components.

Technical Documentation

Review Technical Datasheets, Installation Guides, Test Reports, specifications and approved method statements.

Site Conditions

Confirm that the installation area is enclosed, protected and suitable for flooring work.

Subfloor Information

Review substrate type, condition, previous treatments, contamination risk and required preparation.

Grounding Plan

Confirm grounding points, Copper Foil layout and connection responsibility.

Product Quantities

Confirm flooring, adhesive, foil, welding rod, packaging and batch information.

Layout and Seam Plan

Confirm flooring direction, layout, seams, joints, terminations and transitions.

Installation Team

Confirm the team understands the selected Product and approved installation method.

Subfloor and Site Readiness

Prepare a Suitable Subfloor and Installation Environment

Evaluate the substrate for suitability before flooring installation.

Structurally Sound

The substrate must be stable and capable of supporting the installed flooring system.

Flat and Smooth

Correct irregularities that may affect adhesive transfer, appearance or seam quality.

Dry

Moisture conditions must meet Product, adhesive and project requirements.

Clean

Remove dust, oil, old adhesive, coatings and contamination.

Compatible Surface

Preparation materials must be compatible with the selected flooring system.

Controlled Conditions

Maintain approved environmental conditions before, during and after installation.

Installation Process

Coordinate Grounding, Adhesive, Flooring and Seams

Grounding Component

Copper Foil Grounding

Follow the approved grounding design, Copper Foil layout, connection method, testing requirements and project responsibilities.

Installation Component

Conductive Adhesive

Confirm compatibility, preparation, application, adhesive transfer, placement, rolling and traffic restrictions.

Flooring Format

Homogeneous ESD Vinyl Tile

Confirm datum lines, Tile alignment, Product direction, adhesive placement, consolidation, joint condition and required welding.

Flooring Format

Homogeneous ESD Vinyl Sheet

Confirm roll direction, Sheet layout, seam positions, conditioning, trimming, adhesive placement, consolidation and welding.

Testing and Handover

Verify and Document the Installed System

Evaluate the completed flooring installation, grounding and agreed project requirements without assuming a pass, certification or compliance conclusion.

  1. 1. Confirm Test Method

Use the project-defined method, equipment, conditions and acceptance criteria.

  2. 2. Record Test Locations

Document tested locations and room or area references.

  3. 3. Record Results

Record measured values exactly as tested.

  4. 4. Compare Requirements

Evaluate results against approved project requirements.

  5. 5. Prepare Handover Documentation

Provide available installation, testing, Product and maintenance information.

Initial Cleaning and Protection

Protect the Installed Flooring Before Handover

Remove Installation Residue

Remove loose debris and installation residue using the approved cleaning method.

Protect Against Damage

Protect the floor from construction traffic, sharp objects, equipment and contamination.

Follow Traffic Restrictions

Do not open the flooring to traffic before approved requirements are met.

Avoid Unapproved Finishes

Do not apply ordinary wax, polish or chemicals unless approved for the ESD system.
